NROL, Fat Loss III, workout 5B

No motivation today. None.

I did all the giant sets without rest but I shot the breaks in between all to hell. I just couldn’t get up to do the lifts. Kept thinking that the reps were way too high. Sometimes when I get this way I have to manufacture some kind of fake anger to get me through. Couldn’t even do that this time. I just had to suck it up. 

Here are the stats for today.

Front squat - 10×115, 10×115, 10×115, 10×115

(Bumped up the weight on the first two sets so that’s progress. As I said earlier I just wasn’t feeling it today. Couldn’t convince myself to go up in weight.)

Underhand grip pulldown - 10×150, 10×150, 10×150, 10×150 

(Don’t really remember much about these so that’s good I guess. I know I can’t go up in weight.)

Step up - 10×40, 10×45, 10×45, 10×45

(I stuck with the 45’s all the way through this time. My hands hurt like hell. Hopefully these things will help me with my grip.)

Dumbbell push press 10×45, 10×45, 10×45, 10×45

(Kept the 45’s on the last two sets here too. It’s amazing that I got through it. It was a couple of days ago I couldn’t do it and now I can. Not only could I do the weight but my form was pretty good too.)

Squat - 20×125, 20×125

(Did 125 on the first set so that’s good. These were hard as hell and I had to stop for a few seconds afterwards to catch my breath.)

Wide grip lat pulldown - 20×105, 20×105

(Sometimes I wonder if I can go up here. I have to grit my teeth for those last few reps. Maybe I should just suck it up and increase the weight.)

Step up - 20×30, 20×30

(Hate is not a strong enough word.)

Dumbbell shoulder press - 20×20, 20×20

(Stuck with the 20’s. I wasn’t in any mood to try the 25’s. That’s no excuse but it’s the truth. I should have tried them but I just wanted to finish and go home.)

Swiss-ball crunch - 10xBW, 10xBW

(Not a big deal at all.)
