Hal Higdon’s Marathon Training, week 13, day 4

Planned – 18 miles

Actual – 8 miles

Today I had a lot of aches and pains in my left leg to start my run. After about an hour I was still hurting. Throw in the fact that night fell and I had bugs and spiderwebs in my face and I was not looking forward to another two hours of running. I turned around and went home.

I’m going to be the most unprepared marathon runner in the history of marathons.

  1. Eat a bunch of bananas and drink plenty of water before the runs.
