Hal Higdon’s Marathon Training, week 16, day 3

4 miles.

My training is going to hell. I managed to find excuses to skip the past four runs.

I don’t know that I would have went to this one if I didn’t decide to go with my wife to the gym. She’s been really diligent about going to her classes so I would have felt pretty dumb not going for a short run on the treadmill.

My hip has been bothering me lately and it acted up at the beginning of this one. The pain went away after about 10 minutes. I need to remember that in the future.

My half marathon is Saturday. There won’t be any more runs until then. I’m leaving for my hotel tomorrow. Hopefully, my lack of running lately won’t hurt me too much.
