Hi, I’m Kirk.
I am a 31 year old guy currently living in Memphis, TN.
I’m not really sure what my max weight was. In January 2006 I remember stepping on the scale and seeing 350 pounds. Over the next three months I had a pretty hectic work schedule that resulted in me eating fast food twice a day and getting zero exercise. I have no idea what my weight was in April when I finally decided to start losing weight. It could have been 360 or 370 for all I know. I saw 350, though, so I’m going to stick with that number. I think it’s plenty high enough.
I’m 6’4″ so I think I’d eventually like to weigh somewhere around 200 pounds. Maybe more, maybe less. I don’t know yet. We’ll see when I get there. If I get to 200 I’ll certainly celebrate but I know that there is no finish line. I plan on working on my fitness every day until the day I’m physically unable.
In addition to changes in my diet, I have been lifting and running. This blog details each lift and each run. I also add pictures of my weight on the scale as the numbers drop.
